Awodola Oluwaseun Samuel has emerged the winner of the FUOYESU election held today, October 4th 2018. Official results announced by the Electoral Chairman Dr. Malomo, the Dean of Student Affairs, at the collation centre affirms.
The students of Federal University Oye-Ekiti on the 4th, October 2018, elected new executives of the University’s Students Union of which Unique AOS, Awodola Oluwaseun Samuel, emerged as the president-elect.
According to official results announced, Unique AOS polled 1800 votes to defeat Ojo Isaac Sanmi who had 1623 votes and Aborishade Olawale who had 435 votes.
While speaking to Campus Reporter on phone interview concerning this victory, Unique AOS said the victory was only achievable through the grace of God, hence he gives glory to God. He also thanked Fuoye students for the love and support shown to him.
While speaking on his plan for the Union during his tenure, he said his overaching agenda is to ‘bridge the dichotomy between Ikole Campus and Oye Campus’ by ensuring oneness among students.
Furthermore, he explained that he intends to achieve this by ‘reorientating the students’ on the fact that ‘we are one’; also by teaming up with respective stakeholders, president of assiociations and class representatives.
